Common scams
If you see any of these, stop and report it.
Fake middlemen
Someone DMs you pretending to be staff. Real RoBase middlemen only work inside official tickets — never DMs.
Edited screenshots
Fake payment proofs and trade screenshots are easy to make. Only trust what a middleman confirms.
Phishing links
“Claim free limiteds” or fake login pages steal accounts. Never paste your cookie or log in through a link.
“You go first”
Pressure to send first is the #1 red flag. With a middleman, nobody ever has to go first.
Always do
- Open a middleman ticket for every deal
- Check a trader's vouches before trading
- Keep all trade talk inside the server
- Report suspicious DMs to staff right away
Never do
- Trade through DMs with “staff”
- Share your password, cookie or 2FA codes
- Click giveaway or free-item links
- Rush a deal because someone pressures you
FAQ
Does the middleman service cost anything?+
Standard middleman tickets are free. Larger deals may have a small tip, shown before anything starts.
How do I know a middleman is real?+
Official middlemen have a staff role in the server and only handle deals in tickets you opened yourself.
What happens if I get scammed?+
Open a report ticket with proof. Staff investigate, ban confirmed scammers and flag them for the whole community.
How do vouches work?+
After a completed trade, both sides leave a vouch in the vouch channel. Staff verify them to stop fake reputation.
